To be honest the specialty parts for the raptor have always been the limiting factor in the number of Raptors built. I know ford has been working with its partners like FOX to up the production numbers. But seeing how the Raptor is built on the normal f150 line and only after its finished with the line does it make a stop that the normal f150's don't to get a couple extra things done I do not see them stopping production for a month.

Rather they will pull the orders as they get the parts they need. So if they have parts for 5 raptors then 5 will get pulled. Unless the entire f150 line goes down then its rather easy for them to build the raptor.

But how do they pull orders? According to the order date? Or round robin?
Is it possible that they will pull orders without short parts options first?

For what it's worth I was told the exact same thing a few days ago at my dealer in Maryland.

"No Raptors being built this month due to Raptor specific parts shortage."

I may start shopping for one on the lot.

You guys should start searching dealer lots, like now.

I would agree with this statement. I found my Ruby Red SE Supercrew as a dealer order vehicle when searching my local dealership's inventory. Once I found out it was not a customer order, I went down and met with the internet guy, worked a deal, put down a deposit and had my truck in the driveway in less than a month.
