I've had my S&B intake since March 2017. No codes. I also left the turbulence reducers in the OEM tube. (Circular fan like inserts) I hear some intakes throw codes if those are removed.

Warm air for the fuel injection and front Winch

Having tuned fuel injection systems, I have found they don't like cold air like the old carbs. They have a sweet spot, LT1 motors like 210 degF coolant temp, not 180 degF like the old 350. The dampers on the Raptor are brilliant, they can keep the engine in that sweet spot. Also a pressure change at the intercooler with too cold of air will cause condensation, and thus misfires. I really want a front winch, but till they come out with one that does not mess with the dampers in the grill, I don't see a viable option. With the massive stock bumper size, I don't see why I can't find a winch mount plate, or bumper that puts the winch in the open, between the two cooling system intakes. All current winch bumpers require relocating the intercooler, which requires removing the inlet temperature control dampers. I need that warm charge in the snow, I just don't see removing the dampers.

That is a beautiful truck!

When you say dampers do you mean the shutters? I'm down in AZ and I have the Full Race IC and the winch in the stock bumper. I love it. 15k miles and no misfires yet. I've popped off the charge pipes a couple of times and there isn't any condensation I've seen. There has been a small bit of oil though.

I saw a pretty novel option for a winch if you don't want to relocate the intercooler. Look up the user Barkbeetle on the forums. He had a modular winch system with a mount in the bed and a mount in the front so he could use it on either side. He welded a hitch receiver directly below one of the tow hooks on the front and used it to mount the winch. Cool idea but kills some of the clearance.

Well, there is a solution, but it’s not the most popular option.

The Fab Fours Premium Winch Front Bumper can fit a winch up to 12,000lbs and does not require an intercooler upgrade or removal of the grille dampers.

Hahaha...oh I know it's not towards me. But if you want a winch without having to install an aftermarket intercooler, this is about your only option; at least that's currently on the market.
