Why is there the new hose coming off the BOV and up to the manifold?

I have a SVC front mount IC and still running the OEM BOV vented to atmosphere but thinking about adding a metal unit next time I have the grill off. Anyone have any issues running the provided hose with a FMIC?

And what about using the Full Race throttle body spacer? Will that eliminate the need for taking off the factory hose? Will running the provided hose directly from the BOV to the throttle body be the way to go in that situation?

Bests

I have to say, there is some quite ridiculous misinformation in this thread with regard to VTA and power.

Anywho, does anyone have a part number for the factory hose that you cut when T-ing in the boost reference hose?

I need a new one as I'm going to run a throttle body spacer with a reference port to get rid of the infernal "sounds like its leaking but isnt" noise.

I’m wondering the same thing... going to replace that factory hose and run the full race throttle body spacer with port for BOV actuation hose as well. I’ve also heard more ‘ticking’ noise comes from the setup Turbo Smart has you do via there splitter/ hose.

So is this the consensus now, huh? the only solution so far is to get another part and purchase a factory hose.. Has anyone gotten in touch with Richard at Turbosmart? spoke to him few weeks ago and says 'they were working on a solution and will let me/us know'

anyone actually get this factory hose? want to know how much it is and if it's able to be put back on. thought it was heat formed/shrunk on..?

you can use a gates heat shrink fitting to reattach. I just can't remember which hose it is ( i have a pile of them).

Anyone get an update from turbosmart or another fix besides the throttle body spacer? Just installed the svc intercooler and turbosmart BOV and it sounds like a sprinkler under the hood.

i didnt even ask them, its been shown they dont get it.

I got the spacer from Full Race. Replaced the factory line. Ran the TS line to the port on the TBS. No more ticking, no more issues.

Did you purchase a new factory line or reuse the original?

right now I have the factory line back on there, secured with a gates heat shrink clamp. I bought a new OEM line too, which I am going to swap in once the truck gets out of the shop. Reason for going with a brand new line, is the valve that the line goes into is actually part of the ford part number. That valve is related to fuel pressure and I dont want to take the chance that it has been compromised from the ticked/valve flutter from the turbosmart line.
