Sounds like you need the 250. What you described you want with mild on the highway and loud when you stomp on it sounds exactly what I experience with my 250 with a resonator. Highway has more volume than stock, you can tell it's there but still have a conversation.

The Widow Maker is quieter at highway cruising than the Race Venom? How do you think it would compare to the 250 series? I'm on the fence between the three of them. I have it settled on center to center 3" and going to have it made into a lightning style side exit.

We recently had a customer change his lightning style exhaust to a dumped because he could hear the exhaust in the cab!

So lightning style may work perfectly for your needs

So dumped was quieter than lightning exit in the cab? Interesting, I figured it would be the other way around.

Ordered the venom 250 today with the Y-pipe today,I want to keep my stock tails pipes. I am currently running a magna-flow but it seems like the drone is getting worse with it. Ordered it from Haynes off-road , the 5% off still works [emoji2].

No the other way around! From what I'm told, inside the cab he couldn't hear it nearly as much as when it's dumped!
Now, his neighbor told me its not as loud now that it's dumped as he drives by! So if you want it toned down inside the cab, having a side exit would be ideal!

Awesome! Keep us posted on how it works out. I'm on the fence about the 250 or the widow maker. Skrape at Black Widow suggested the widow maker.

Has anybody heard any clips of this new widow maker. I recently swapped out my mbrp turn down with a race venom, and love it but I probably would have tried a widow maker if I had known it was coming out. But anyways with the race venom I kept the mbrp resonator and it as no drone and is actually quieter on the highway and around town, but is nasty when you step on it, It really snarls. Instead of a deep growl like the mbrp.

I have a race venom dumped at he rear axle and love it! I want to keep the dump because I really like the lines without a tail pipe, but we make some long trips with the kids (3-6hrs).

My question,

I got my hands on another Race Venom... anyone have an idea of what running two race venoms in line would sound like? I LOVE the WOT and idle of the race venom but wife is starting to complain about the highway. :-(

Don't know about running two race venoms, but I noticed a sound reduction just by adding a 12" section and a down turn directly after the muffler. I had to add it to have a place for my second hanger, and was initially disappointed with how much noise I lost. But after driving it around a bit it was a nice compromise being able to have a normal conversation on the highway. Plus it still sounds pretty damn good at WOT
