2 months later.... No tickets, no complaints. I always know way ahead of time when a cop is nearby. Most of them seem to leave their radar equipment on even when they're not parked because I pick up signals from moving cop cars often.

Around here the local law and county sheriff deputys all use K band and leave it on. The ones who get you are OHP when there's no traffic and they use that damn instant on Ka. But with a little common sense, I've never gotten a ticket with my V1.

Without the V1(driving my wife's car)...not so lucky.

Around here the local law and county sheriff deputys all use K band and leave it on. The ones who get you are OHP when there's no traffic and they use that damn instant on Ka. But with a little common sense, I've never gotten a ticket with my V1.

I pick up Ka signals WAAAAAAAY before the Cops even have me in view... This thing is super sensitive yet doesn't false alarm on commercial doors, etc. When I'm on the open road I put it on Highway Mode which directs all of the systems power even further in front of me (rather than all around me). Have already had the Laser Shifters kick in and jam some of The Fuzz's attempts to get me as well. This setup is so awesome.... I doubt I'll ever get a ticket with this thing on.

It was expensive as hell, but I think it will be well worth it in the long run, I already have a lot of speeding tickets on my record and don't want to deal with more of them.... Or slow down! :burnout:

The 9500Ci is a nice system and I run it in my GT500 as part of a layered multi component system I have in my car along with a Valentine V1 and a Laser Interceptor HP Quad set-up.

My GT500 gets plenty of attention for just its appearance. Add to that my need for speed and I figured I needed as big an edge as I could find. I didn't want to be out tech'd by the law.

If you are one of the folks coming out to Shelbyfest, I'll take you for a ride and you can see what ludicrous speed feels like.

Where did you mount your antenna unit (box that detects radar signals, and where shifters and interior controllers plug in)?

I ask because I suspect all the Raptor metal is diminishing its capability in my install. There wasn't a "perfect" spot under the hood so I put it just off-center (drivers-side) mounted just above the plastic trim (inside-the-grill) of the front bumper (using the suppplied bracket upside down). I'm thinking it needs to be higher in "air" so that less bumper may be interfering to the front.
