I’m confused - what he’s saying here?

So, a 35 will run 37pp wheels fine but if you have different offset wheels they wont clear bumps?
He’s saying that 37s on a 35 truck will hit the fenders at full compression. Those running wheels with more offset from factory will be even worse as it pushes the wheel further out and will have even less clearance at full compression. This is because it pushes the wheel further out which causes the wheel to hit the fender flare area and not tuck inside the wheel well. But even factory offset 37pp wheels will not clear 37s on a 35 truck.

The 37 trucks from the factory have an additional bump stop bumper that limits travel and thus keeps wheel from hitting the fenders. Aftermarket springs do not limit travel and only affect ride height so that has no effect on this issue.

The people here saying they are running 37s without issue are only talking about street driving and not experiencing rubbing while turning. If they were to actually use full travel they’d probably end up with some serious damage.

Maybe for the rear but the front bump stops are integrated in the shocks. Ford/Fox has installed an additional rubber bumper on the shock shaft of the 37 trucks (on 35 trucks there is only a single rubber bumper). There’s no Gen3 specific shocks yet but I’d assume there will have to be different kits when released.

I recently installed a SVC rear air bump stop kit and they have specific kits for 35 and 37 trucks.

Not sure of their suspension setup and there’s also a range of actual sizes for tires listed as “37”. But there’s also the question of why Ford would go through the trouble of limiting travel if there wasn’t clearance issues…

I totally agree. Perhaps you have to REALLY jump it hard to hit the end of the road. I dont know. My truck doesnt see enough dirt or even come close to leaving the ground so I would not be too worried about adding the bump stops. But if I was a duner or off roader, i probably would add the proper bump stops. But Im not going to lie, my truck doesnt see enough dirt.

Yeah that all makes sense.

I did a bit of searching and for peace of mind for 35 owners there is a “bump spacer kit” made specifically to compensate for 37” tires using 35 shocks:

I read every single page on this thread. There’s great info here especially for someone new to raptors like myself. Have a 2024 35 package and it’s good to see a 17x8.5 0 offset wheel and 37x12.5x17 KO2 (C or D Load range) will fit without rubbing.

My question is if I retain my stock (non beadlock) 17x8.5 wheels with the positive offset could I go with another tire like a Falken or Toyo and still not rub on stock suspension? Has anyone done a similar setup?

I have seen 35 trucks with 37s push it hard off road, but only running stock 37 truck KO2s. If i were to go this route, id stick with my tame offset wheels and only do the narrower model KO2s. It'd not risk a beefier tire with a wider width and slightly taller size of a Nitto, Toyo...etc. I have a bit of a hard time trusting anecdotal evidence of "no rubbing" because there are a lot of variables, but so far I haven't heard of anyone shredding their fenders.
