Thanks for the pics Blue. Do you mind linking me to those LEDs? Also, how far away was the beam from the rear of the truck (just a guesstimate would do fine)?

How far back does the light start? Maybe 8 feet or so? Definitely doesn't point straight down at the ground, however, if a car or any object is behind you, it WILL light it up when it's basically right behind the truck. Just won't light anything up that's really low or sitting on the ground, until about 8 feet out.

If someone wanted more light, I found this today on ebay. 18w each and low profile design that would tuck up close to rear bumper.

Those have one projected 5w Cree LED per bulb.

Thanks infinite, I think I'll order 2 sets of the 25W bulbs. One for reverse, one for cargo. Stock is so damn dim since I tinted my cargo.

Not a problem. I'm happy with mine, enough for me to fork out another $23 to replace the cargo light ones which i think I paid more for a month or so ago, lol.

Reminds me, I need to update my OP with the new 25w lights now that I have officially tested them.

I just received the 42mm Samsung LEDs today from Canada and installed them. Definitely brighter, I'd gauge maybe 50-70% brighter than the other one. One thing I like about these is not only brighter, but they're definitely a "whiter" light like the other Samsung license plate bulbs I installed last weekend. I should have the other set of 194 Samsung bulbs within a day or 2 so I can verify all the Samsung LED replacement bulbs inside match.

On another note the 31mm Samsung supplier (same as 194s) said they will have some more in this weekend. In my path to make everything brighter, whiter and match I'll get some of them and open my puddle lights back up and swap them in there.

Pictures to come as well as update OP, probably be a day or so fixing to do family stuff.

Samsung on the way here...how does one get the puddle lights apart to replace the bulbs with LEDs

And how do I get the dome cover off? I tied and felt like the headliner was going to pull down?
