I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel to take my puddle lights apart. Just need to take maybe 1/16" inch off between housing and lense and you can pry it apart. I used some 5min epoxy to put them back together, just make sure to put something on top of it to keep it as closed as possible while epoxy sets.

Been installed for a month no issues. I installed the LED prior to putting on the truck, mine is a 2010 so I had to wire them for puddle lights as well which was actually pretty easy.

Don't want my warranty voided for puddle lights...HaHa...

Yeah...on the list...I going to start on the interior next...I am waiting on an LED with a builtin resistor or sometime for the flashers...there has got to be something out there?

So I tried the oven, but I was going so slow that it kept cooling off. I just used an exacto knife and slowly cut between the white lens and the black body. It seems that is where it is actually sealed, so I went slow and was able to get a precision/micro screwdriver in there after prying it open ever so slightly with a small screwdriver. I've opened one, and will try the other once my bulbs show up. Can't wait!

Now I'm just waiting to see if my Ebay offer on 921 bulbs have been accepted. 30 bucks for a bulb seems crazy, but I want/need more light!

I hope the 25 watt backups work. I have tinted windows and between that and the automatic mirror dimming I am blind in reverse of the tailgate is down. Anyone know where the auto dimming sensor is located? Love the thread.

After several messages on ebay about those 25w bulbs and even having to open a case against them due to no response for 5 days (during the week) they are suppose to ship out on 20th. They wanted me to close case, but I told them until I get a tracking number (and one that works since other one didn't) it'll remain open.

We shall see, my fingers are crossed!

I just sent an email as well to a Hong Kong based supplier to check on them. Everything else has shipped, in fact my puddle light bulbs showed up already. I really want my dome festoon, but of course that's the one that has no info. I considered eating the 3 bucks and ordering from a place in California, but I figure I'll give them a chance.
