What is near IMPOSSIBLE to believe is that they haven't put it into a Jeep yet (real jeep - wrangler).....maybe that's like their "nuclear" option to avoid a 2nd bankruptcy/slowing sales/loss of market share, because I'll tell you what - however many Hemi Wranglers that FCA can physically produce in a year is precisely how many will sell.

No room. It won't pass crash standards. A few engineers have been asked about it. There is a rumor that they are coming out with a ZR2 competitor version of the gladiator and it will get this turbocharged 6

I almost can’t see this happening, but then again they put Hemi’s in most everything. Would imagine it would be there lowest HEMI offering power wise.

Funny, if a hemi won't fit then NO WAY our 3.5 HO EB will fit despite being nearly 1/2 the displacement lol

I heard that before too - but the V8 fits just fine....honestly have seen more w/ LS1/LS2's but either way - it'll fit. If they could justify the R&D & figure out a way to put a ******** blown 707hp motor in a jeep grand cherokee then they can figure out how to shoehorn one in a wrangler & get it to pass crash standards.

I kinda have to chuckle though if that truly is accurate....we're talking about a Jeep Wrangler, crash standards? Thing is the epitome of "unsafe" it doesn't have a ******** roof! The doors & hood pop off! It loves tipping over!! Its skidpad & braking performance are god awful....but god forbid they put a V8 under the hood & sacrifice the "safety" of a jeep wrangler lol

Come on JR. Snowflake? That “put down” has circled around the forum since I have been a member here.
Let me school you. Ford as been putting their name on the grill on cars trucks and even tractors since before you were born 16 years ago. Definitely before the Raptor made an appearance at the 2009 car show! And fender flares. I had them on my 1990 4x4 when I was in high school. Hardly a “Raptor signature ” Grow up and move on. This thread is a joke. Unsubscribe!

If you're able to track the snowflake reference to when you joined the forum...I'd say that makes sense.

I suppose it's safe to say that I don't like inaccurate badging, or giving the wrong impression about what something is in general. My previous vehicle was a Jeep Cherokee. Because everyone thinks wrangler when you say have a Jeep, I never would say I own a Jeep...always a Cherokee.

On my 17 Raptor, I put in an aftermarket audio system...so it's no longer Sony. The Sony badging on the center speaker grill bothered me enough for me to fill it the lettering and repaint the thing just so it wasn't inaccurate anymore.

The Hemi is physically much larger than an LS. Wranglers are pretty narrow around the engine compartment. LS swaps are a snap, the HEMI takes a little more shoe horning. We've done many LS swaps into older wranglers, 1 Hemi swap, it was more difficult.
Going from a V6 to a straight 6, the straight 6 is going to be much longer, probably looking firewall mods and pushing the radiator out front some.

Honestly, I got used to it with my old 2003 terminator. It was so bad with that car that a guy swore my cobra was fake lol. I had to educate his ignorant a**. The ford grill doesn’t bother me as much as when they add the 5 lights for wide vehicles..especially on little Tacomas .

I think it’s just a cool factor and copying what the Raptor has with its looks and bigger truck aggressiveness. People take style cues from what? Good looking and popular people, right?

LOL! I thought I was the only one who was slightly troubled by this. I see them all over here in Alabama. Where I live, seeing a Raptor is like seeing a Lamborghini. Lol
