I had the opportunity to purchase an R at MSRP, but that was a hard pass for me. It would be cool to drive a couple times though. I would be all over a 5.0 standard coyote if they were available.

Purchased a new 801a early in 2023. Went to Raptor Assault in October of 2023. After driving their 802a trucks I ordered an 802a. Been happy with it so far. Still looking for a deal on a Raptor R at msrp. Wouldn't consider going back to the 801.
You will win either way! I purchased my 802a with no intent for it to be driven in the grass or rain...lolThanks everyone. Interesting responses. I am a drive on the weekends type guy, to the beach, not ever on it! I don't ever plan on taking it off road. The truck will basically be driven as a weekender until I retire. I am heavily leaning to the 801. Fits the purpose. Thanks again.
Two things. In my younger days I used to mod my trucks. Now I like to keep them OEM for resale value. When you go to trade it all the mods are not included in your Vin, therefore are worthless to the dealer for trade value. If you are going to keep it forever then have at it.
I see dealers were I live trying to sell lifted F150 XLT's for the price of a Raptor.
Just another way to look at a purchase.
2024 802a (I drew a red line at MSRP, pay less if you can, try to not get scammed by extended warranties and the like, I missed on that a bit). I wanted 37's and decided to go with the stock (integrated) package. I am very pleased with the result. I know, I am driving like a grandpa. My view is that trucks don't fly or swim particularly well, so don't. The V-6 is plenty powerful. I am still working on understanding the 700+ page users manual. The service manual has just been published, finally. I added some lights but do not plan on much more in the way of enhancements. I'll probably go the K03's or Mickey Thompson's when I wear the stock tires out.
