I had the opportunity to purchase an R at MSRP, but that was a hard pass for me. It would be cool to drive a couple times though. I would be all over a 5.0 standard coyote if they were available.

Purchased a new 801a early in 2023. Went to Raptor Assault in October of 2023. After driving their 802a trucks I ordered an 802a. Been happy with it so far. Still looking for a deal on a Raptor R at msrp. Wouldn't consider going back to the 801.

I did basically the same. I had a 2024 801A…but immediately after Raptor Assault, I ordered a 2025 802A!

Thanks everyone. Interesting responses. I am a drive on the weekends type guy, to the beach, not ever on it! I don't ever plan on taking it off road. The truck will basically be driven as a weekender until I retire. I am heavily leaning to the 801. Fits the purpose. Thanks again.

You will win either way! I purchased my 802a with no intent for it to be driven in the grass or rain...lol

Save the 11k. For that kind of money you could get eibach springs to raise and level it, after market wheels and 37s and still save $6k. The dual valve stuff sitting in the Starbucks drive through is absurd but to each is own.

In my younger days I used to mod my trucks. Now I like to keep them OEM for resale value. When you go to trade it all the mods are not included in your Vin, therefore are worthless to the dealer for trade value. If you are going to keep it forever then have at it.

I see dealers were I live trying to sell lifted F150 XLT's for the price of a Raptor.

Just another way to look at a purchase.

Two things.

I never trade into a dealer. I've always gotten far more selling privately.

Second I've always offset the cost of mods by reselling OEM parts. In some cases cost is a wash.

IMO in no way is $11k worth it for stickers/wheels/tires and different seats.
I'd end up swapping out wheels/tires and the "base" seats are great.

2024 802a (I drew a red line at MSRP, pay less if you can, try to not get scammed by extended warranties and the like, I missed on that a bit). I wanted 37's and decided to go with the stock (integrated) package. I am very pleased with the result. I know, I am driving like a grandpa. My view is that trucks don't fly or swim particularly well, so don't. The V-6 is plenty powerful. I am still working on understanding the 700+ page users manual. The service manual has just been published, finally. I added some lights but do not plan on much more in the way of enhancements. I'll probably go the K03's or Mickey Thompson's when I wear the stock tires out.
