That's a great looking truck and the all-black interior looks awesome. I test drove the Rebel a year ago and thought hard about buying one. For whatever reason decided to wait for the Raptor. Given the frustrations with Ford and the condescension of every dealer I have spoken too (trying to mark-up $10k to $30k), I'm going to reconsider the Rebel. At $15 to $20k less than the Raptor MSRP, it's an excellent option. Thanks for posting the photo!

All of you cancelling your orders are VERY lucky!!!! This is one truck mess to stay away from!

May I ask you what issues you are having with your Gen2? I ordered on 8/17, built 10/27, eta of 2/7/17, 1st allocation of 4 for my dealer. Yes not happy with Ford by any means, but would rather have my truck right than with issues, also got it for MSRP, dealer gave me aloaner truck to drive till my Raptor comes end and has thrown in a few extras. If you have ever ordered a first or second run performance car it does not always go as planned. Hate it for the people that ordered from a dealers that had 20 or 30 plus allocations, if you are not in there first 10 or 12 you will be waiting, Ford will make the trucks right. Thanks

ZaneMasterX,
My dealer has 7 allocations, and I was originally #6. I have been told I've been bumped up to #3, for a couple of different reasons. I spoke with my guy yesterday, and he said that their first unit is on "delivery hold", just to give you an idea how slow things are happening at this modestly sized Pacific Northwest dealer. I also chatted with Ford yesterday, and they did indeed confirm my order is allocated by my dealer, but that it still resides in "unscheduled clean". So, taking the dealer, as well as Ford, for their collective status reports, I am due to be receiving a model year 2017 at some point this year....it just is exceedingly frustrating, however, that a July 30th order still has not yet been picked up...

My truck was built on 10/27 and still do not have it eta of 2/7 now. The day I ordered the dealer filled all 4 of his allocations on the same day, the 2nd got picked up 12/22, and eta of 2/27, the dealer said they would get one in a quarter thinking I would have mine in November, hang in there, it will happen and you will be very happy. I have a buddy who got his in December and it is bad ass! No issues, and he also paid MSRP. If you pay attention to everything posted on here, most do not have a dog in this fight like us, but there are some people that are giving good advice and updates, hang in there.

I do not and will not own a gen 2 Raptor, but I do have a Gen 1 (actually 2 of them). The new ecoboost engine has not solved the previous generation inherent design problems - primarily the condensate buildup in the intercooler that causes engine misfire. With that said, many of the gen 2 trucks were built, reworked, sent to a holding yard, reworked again, and then many more reworks following. That alone tells me there is a problem... these trucks will be headaches.... and most paid a premium for it. I hope I am wrong, but we will have to see.

I'm sure they fixed the condensation issue. I've been driving mine through a bunch of rain and never had any kind of misfires.

it's good to see that a lot of others are fed up with this overall experience. i'll admit i went a little overboard and resorted to yelp and google to rant on these dealer practices, but at least i'm trying to do the best i can to share my experience beyond these sites that really only enthusiasts ever see.

i am now over the raptor (and ford for that matter) and am considering a tundra tss or trd pro. so far, the toyota dealership sales experience has been FAR superior to the ford one. after visiting dealerships of multiple brands, the ford ones were the worst. it's really too bad, this used to not be the case.

Do you mean a mess with ordering and receiving this truck or mechanics. I have 2500 miles on mine and not a single issue.
Do you physically have one? What are your issues?

You are wrong. This engine has not much in common at all with the run-of-the-mill Gen2 3.5ECB.
