Update on my Icon adjustable leafs:

I’ve had them on since Nov 2018, originally posted install with pics. Set at highest setting. Worked well for a few months. Love stance and feel. Eventually started hearing thunk at slow speeds. Slowly progressed to constant thunk over any little bump. At this time it’s an embarrassment to drive the truck. I’ve done little to no off-roading since they’ve been on over the winter. I’ve tried everything.

-Retorqued everything
-swapped all hardware
-swapped shackles
-changed and serviced shocks
-swapped plastics leaf inserts
-removed springs, cleaned thoroughly

I’ve finally found that culprit is what appear to be leafs that are warped and are not contacting each other like they were a few months back, when in function the ends of the leafs rub and snap against certain spots. Cleaning, greasing, lubrication, leaf liners, extra weight in bed do nothing to help.

I’ve tried reaching out to Icon sales/tech but they haven’t returned my last few emails in over 2 weeks. I’ll try calling this week. I thought a reputable company would have better customer service. I’ll just assume they don’t look at emails too well, but I sent to a couple of their email addresses. I’ve called them previously and they couldn’t offer much help. They first asked me to isolate sound, so I did and provided video. Second call they didn’t offer further help, but sold me replacement hardware at a discount. I order $100 of replacement hardware to no avail.

Makes me wish I wouldn’t have sold my last 2 sets of Deavers!

Anyone else having Icon leaf noise, issues?

Hoping Icon will help out some how here.

I’m just hoping Icon will help out somehow, because $1500 is not something I want to have to waste again to make it right. I liked everything about these leafs (height options, ease of changing and ride).
I am currently running their upper arms with Delta joints, which are awesome!

I've had the Icons on since January. Running option 1 with no towing and only the spare in the bed. I found the bottom leaf on the passenger side broke in half. The other half is still in the leaf pack. The leafs are noisy as hell and appear to be warped also. I have lost 7/8" ride height on the passenger side compared to the drivers side. I have an email to ICON with no response. Calling today too.

Call me crazy but I went with the company that has been making springs since the 1800's for horse drawn wagons. Deaver.

I went with Icons because I will get and did get more than 1 inch lift. I Dont think deavers suck by any means, I just didnt want to be nose high when I put some weight in the back. If I never put Eibach springs up front I would of went with the Deavers. Plus I got mine for $750 new on double order Icon mess up at local mechanic, couldn't pass that one up.
