That blows! I hope Icon/TMX takes care of you, quickly!

ICON called me back. They are shipping me a new set of shocks in advance, 2nd day air with a prepaid return label. Will try and see if I can get them swapped out before TRR and if not will bring them there and have a vendor swap them for me.

Very happy how ICON is taking care of me.

Is Icon going to let you know what may have caused this? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's interested in this issue.....

Will see if I can get them to say

The used icons I bought had that problem on one off them. It got tweaked when bottomed out. DC Shock Service spotted it when I took them in for rebuild prior to install. Cap had to be replaced. My turn for Baja test.

I ran the first two days on 7 then the last two days on High (H). If did it again, would do H from the beginning to prevent any bottoming out.

Do your shocks have a rubber bump stop sandwiched between two washers in the very bottom of the shock cup?

There is a rubber/foam bump stop on the bottom but only one metal washer at the very bottom of the cup, not one on top of the bump stop closest to the shock body. Why?

I was just curious. Mine has a washer on top and the bottom. Just wondering if the cap is slapping against the top of the cup because it's allowed to travel too far down when bottoming out?

When I get the new ones this week, I will let you know how they came from ICON.

Replacement shocks arrived in two days as they shipped out the same day when I first contacted ICON. Yeah ICON!

There is just one washer below the foam bumper stop in the bottom of the lower cap. Not sure when they put that washer on the top and bottom. @2014RubyRed

Within hours we got them installed after arriving. I am starting to wonder if these ones that I just purchased several months ago was actually NIB based on how these arrived yesterday.

Will test them out next week at TRR
