Icom ID-880H Install (Lots of Pics)

Found the service manual online for this radio if anyone is interested. Gives me a little more confidence for the little project I'll be doing tonight.

Did you modify the radio to TX on commercial freqs?

Suckers were small! Everything works and nothing is smoking, so I guess I done good. Thanks for the tip.

Both brackets I made myself and if I had access to the proper tools I know exactly how I could make them better. But, for now I'm pretty happy.

What would you charge to make one? I have an Extang Solid Fold so I would need a bracket about an inch taller. Also interested in knowing what antenna you have.

I need to know who you bought your Icom and accessories from? Most places I've emailed have not replied... soooo where'd you get yours? I have tried to research radios with the features I want and have narrowed it down to this one.

However, I'm open to recommendations. Features I want:

*Want preferably Icom unless someone else has another suggestion
*Removable face
*Mic location not on the face

This things does a million other things as well, but I'm not sure all those extra features are necessary for my wants.

I got mine and all accessories at a local radio store. At first they gave me a little issue because I don't have a registered handle with the FCC, but cash money talked. They were also a mom and pop shop that were geeks for radios, so they answer and lot of my questions.
