Yeah its a bit rough over there right now, with the whole recovery from their financial meltdown (they really did have a meltdown).

That being said, even with those taxes its an amazing place to be. If i was squarely in "FU money" land id have a nice farm house out in the country side with a few nice rigs to drive around the glaciers in. The place is simply AWESOME for wheeling/outdoors activities.

Its pretty damn unreal when you can walk around a glacial lagoon in a tshirt staring at europe's largest glacier in the background. Then drive 40 minutes and have an amazing view of the sun setting on a black sand beach.
