The Gen 3 vs the Gen 2 is a huge difference.
Having said that, I prefer the front end of the Gen 2. It’s more aggressive looking to me.
Not a lot of aftermarket stuff for Gen 3 yet.
When (and I do mean when) the aftermarket becomes available to the Gen 3, it will be a night and day difference between 2 and 3.

My 2020 warranty expires in July. I’ve been looking at gen3 raptors and yes I know, updated tech, rear coils, big *** infotainment screen…
I want to like them…
They just don’t make my undies wiggle. I don’t like the plain straight tailgate appliqué. I don’t like the decals on the 3rd gen’s (any of them). I hate orange, everything is stitched in orange. Why? There is no engine upgrade…it’s just a facelift, not a new gen.
Last of all I just don’t think they look as tough as a gen 2.

Other than $85k for a truck with no tonneau and no rear inner fender liners, what is keeping u guys in your gen 2.
Have you driven a Gen 3? HP may be the same number, but it hits differently. Sloppy rear leaf springs are gone. All the other techy stuff is neato but I don't care about most of it.

You already have the active shocks, so no difference there. I wish they were optional, the dumb shocks on my '18 were amazing.

The price has kept up with general inflation, so you get what you get.

I'm in a different situation - I will have to sell my Gen 2 which I love because it won't fit into the condo's garage that I am moving to sometime soon. The gen 3 isn't different enough for me to have made the move. Had my 2018 since 12/17 since new and it only has 52k miles on it and have Fox 3.0s, UCA, deavers, bump kit etc. Pretty much as good as leafs will get I recon. I put a big screen in it and it is fastasfuckboi so there's that too. I do prefer the looks of the gen 2 over the gen 3 also.

My move will eventually be to a ranger raptor since that will fit in the garage...

Yeah, well first world problems here. You wouldn't believe me if I told you what my 1500 sq foot (tear down) house built in 1923 with a 6000 sq foot lot is worth... and unless I tear it down and totally rebuild, any money I put into the place will never be recouped. My mother in law passed a year ago and has this condo, just about paid off. Any cash we dump there (and we will have to dump a lot as we will redo the entire place) will be money well spent. Bottom line is, the truck can't factor into this big life move and I refuse to park it on the street :(

Bronco raptors are 20k off sticker now…
As they should be - you can do 95% of what a Bronco Raptor can in an F150 Raptor for less $$$ & more capability, more hp/tq, more size, better mpg etc etc lol and you know what? If the Bronco Raptor was a 2 door model it would at least be lighter more nimble & have better approach/departure angles

Get good insurance and rest easy. Sometimes more coverage is cheaper, I know it seems crazy but an insurance buddy says it's so. He bumped me way up from the minimums and it was cheaper. Better risk I guess.

Park it in the yard. When the condo association complains, just tell the OG Blue Hairs they have to make an exception because it is an off road truck!
