I have slow leak on Trans front seal . When I do have it fixed I want to change the torque converter. I have heard of people using the Stock mustang GT converter in a Raptor . Any body else heard this ? I defiantly don't want a 2400 like in my 454ss and Lightning . Just something a tad looser than stock. Power comes on hard at the blip of the pedal , whipple and 4.88 gears . Thinking and convertor will move the power up away from low end . Any suggestions? Thanks

Found this says its good for 6.2 supercharged trucks. ,https://www.circledspecialties.com/6r80-pro-series-265mm

Usually a higher stall rpm allows more power to build up before locking clutches.
Not sure if that's the direction you looking for.

You can go up in size with the Supercharger pulley to reduce boost at lower rpms, you'll only lose a small amount of HP at WOT

Find a competent tuner. You can make a 6r80 drive like stock with a 4k stall if you want, until your on it. I wouldn't go that crazy on a Raptor but with the lockup function and a quality convertor you really can get away with a lot.

Thanks MTF i have all the pullies , but now that I'm thinking of it , its just real torquey not even getting into boost . Comparing to my 19 , not exactly sure how that 10 spd trans works , i am thinking it just adjusts line pressure on the low end. I can stall the 19 to 2500 rpm and launch but even normal driving 1st gear super low it doesn't throw you around if you blip the throttle. The 2010 if i have'nt driven it in a while when i first hit the gas , i usually slightly spin the tires a first stop light by the house . It feels like stock stalls about 1300 rpm . If i got a tad looser converter it would tone it down under normal driving , not looking to launch it hard just tone down the on /off switch feeling. i may not doing anything till i do a rebuild . Leak is very minor and leaves few small drips on sway bar and ground. So it may not be worth fix until it is worse or trans takes a dump .

Could this be more of a throttle sensitivity issue and not so much the torque converter?

I don't think so, its Jdm tune but who knows . I don't have pedal commander or anything like that. I do have the ford racing twin TB though.

Ask JDM to back down the throttle sensitivity a bit, that's a lot easier than doing a torque convertor :)

No problem.
I stuck with the 3.375 pulley, the 3.250 is intense and I'm worried about the winter months with the 3.250
Plus with stock exhaust and the 3.250 I'm just over 12 lbs. of boost
I don't want to go through another engine.

The 19 has turbos so no matter what, they still need to spool up so it's not going to be like a supercharger.
Like Ben mentioned, talk to JDM about adjusting the throttle response.
I just hope they don't charge you.

Are you sure it's the seal and not the Leadframe Bulkhead connection?
