Ok, I searched in the regional forums and searched on here looking for shops in SoCal.. I went from the bottom to the mid perch yesterday.. and it seems like everyone recommends i get the alignment checked out, i called 2 of the shops here in SoCal and that based on there passed experience they don't align the trucks after the perch mod so I'm kind of lost on wether i should do it or not..

any suggestions on passed experiences, and any suggestions on shops? I'm in LA but work in the OC

It is DEFINETELY recommended to do an alignment after install. Really ANY place that does alignment can do it for you. Doesn't have to be any special shop by any means. I know some guys have said they go to Firestone (I think it is) because they offer lifetime alignments for around $200. I would DEFINETELY get it aligned though.

I wouldn't even mention mid perch or anything of the nature. Just ask for an alignment to be done.

In theory you should still be aligned at mid vs. low perch, but it's the camber that might be out at that specific travel point as you're slightly higher now. Your max travel points haven't changed. It's the point at which you sit nominally that's slightly higher. Good to have it checked.
I haven't aligned since going mid a few thousand miles ago and MIGHT be seeing some tire wear, but not certain. It's good to have it done though.

Hey alexyikes, did you do the mid perch yourself? I had mine done at 4wheelparts in Redondo Beach and they did the alignment as well.

bought my truck used, had a 2 inch leveling kit on it, i just recently found out, had it removed. anyways, he didnt align it. i had moderate inside tread wear but i also didnt rotate nearly as often as i should have. id have it done. or either rotate your tires religously and be looking at how your tires are wearing. but at the same time, ive also read on here where people have said they went mid perch, took it to be alligned, and the mechanic said it was still in spec and thanks for wasting my time. so who knows lol

The positive about negative camber for our trucks:
Improved handing by reducing under steer.
The tire tucks in better at the top during full suspension compression.
looks better! (manly stance vs girly stance)
The negative about negative camber:
You need to run more toe-in for the truck to feel solid on center (min 1/8th)
More toe-in increases tire wear and reduces mpg (higher rolling resistance)

I run nearly maximum camber and caster :)
