Why the gotta have it now mentality? Is your current vehicle no longer suitable for you? Why not just wait out the 1st wave of demand? They will be sitting on lots all over the country this time next year. Still going to have dealers asking insane markups, but the smart ones will start to deal and come down below sticker. I went through this getting my 03 Cobra. They came out in May 02. It took until Nov 02 to get a dealer that would go 1500 under sticker. They told me they had 6 and knew they weren't going to sell in the winter, so they dropped below MSRP. That was the only dealer in 300 miles that would go below sticker. By late 04, they were selling 3500 below sticker, with rebates available on them as well. Don't know if the new Raptor will go that cheap at some point, but the rabid demand for the new ones will wane.

so either you wait 10 months to save $1000 or 2 years to save $3000... I think Ill just take my $70k truck now thanks lol. Probably save that much selling my trade in now vs 10 months from now.

Well, you gotta think- those numbers were on a $34,000 car. You are talking double that amount on a 70K truck. Throw in ADMs, I dunno. You guys lining up to be first for a '17 Raptor obviously have the money to blow- it's your money and you only live once- go for it.

Why would those numbers be for a 34k car. If you wait a year to get a 17' raptor you are literally going to save maybe 3k tops.. go from msrp of what 65k down to 3k below and still 2k above invoice (probably).

meanwhile the cost of ownership averages about $500-700 per month.

Maybe its not the fact people have money to blow. But the fact we can do basic math?

I remember those days I paid 500 over sticker for mine in sept 02 but the extra few horses from an early build freak were worth it. Never did get the tick tho lol and funny but for that reason too I would wait not only because of the gouging going on now, but because of any potential problems of a first year HO eco truck with a lot of new complicated tech and drivetrain
