The thing is, I have my trade in. I'm not gonna drive to kansas with my corvette for a raptor. Besides, we only pay taxes on the difference here in NY. BIG difference.

doesnt matter where you buy it, its where you register it. Illinois does the same thing, i bought mine from Randy (technically in Oklahoma), took it back to IL and i only paid the difference of my trade in value. also he didnt do the tax, just gave me my sales form and just had to bring it all into the DMV.


as for the trade in itself and the driving.... ok yeah that one i understand.

We do the same with taxes in kansas, I got a 24k tax break on my raptor cause I traded in my silverado. also long drive in a vette sounds like tons of fun, a good goodbye drive to me

Wheela, I maybe in the market to trade my 2008 Tundra 4x4 Crewmax in for a Raptor, so I checked out Louisberg Fords website and they state the $50 over invoice does not include Raptors or Mustang GT-500's. I live in Louisiana and might be able to get a decent deal here, but haven't found a white Raptor on a lot anywhere in La. I may wait for the 2013's but not sure. I purchased my Tundra from Indianapolis, Ind., and traded my 2008 Ford F-250 and only paid tax on the difference of the trade minus the difference in the states taxes. Indiana had to refund me some money due to overpayment, but it all worked out. It is always better to go out of state if you can save several grand, and if you got $50 over invoice, I would definitely contact Louisburg Ford and find out what kind of trade i could get on my Tundra.
