Did you put something on the floor of the bin to keep metal from metal? I am considering the 283 since I have no subwoofer and also need to transport guns and ammo.

No. It goes right over the carpet and uses the existing floor bolts. No drilling or new holes to be made, simple bolt on. Fits perfect.

The Ford bin does not come with dividers? Do we have to make our own?

damn. Im just gonna make my own outta plexiglass. looked on the bay, and found em for 86-109 plus about 50 shipping. one of the $86 said with or without factory sub, but the shipping was (im guessing it was a misprint) $500!!!!!. They must be on crack if thats not a mistake
