So the front panel on the dashboard of my 19 warped. I brought it into the dealership and ford approved a completely new dashboard which showed up a week later. The dash took them three days to do and I picked it up last Monday night and immediately left for a hunting trip. After being in the truck for a week I noticed a lot of half assed work. The LED light above the glove box doesn’t work anymore. It was noted in the paperwork as being replaced because it broke during the removal but it clearly was not. All of the vent housings have folded back pieces where the ******* had to pry them off to remove them, the glove box is totally misaligned, the drivers side door panel vibrates when the bass hits on the stereo and to top it off the windshield was absolutely covered in finger prints and hand prints. Lastly I found plastic clips all over the floor.

Am I wrong to think that because it’s a Raptor it should be gone over with a fine toothed comb before it leaves? Isn’t this truck the pinnacle of the half ton world and should be treated as such? The salesmen and finance agent were extremely pushy on me keeping it looking good and as close to showroom quality as possible because it represents ford performance.

My question is should I go to the service tech, service manager, or straight to ford performance? This truck has 7,000 miles on it and I think this is completely sub par service that needs to be addressed.

you should return to the service advisor and tell them the repair did not meet your expectations of quality and you expect these deficiencies to be addressed, with haste.

call in advance and ensure you make the service department aware. if you don’t get the sense that it’s being taken seriously from the advisor right away, ask to speak to the service manager.

I appreciate the response. I’ll take that advice.

I guess a scum bag is a scum bag. I read somewhere that ford performance will put their foot up the dealerships ass if they catch wind of subpar service.... is this true?

Worst thing to have happened the Ford.

Getting rid of the SVT program, SVT techs had to get certified to work on SVT vehicles and they had pay increases to boot.
Dealers had to sell a certain amount per year and have a higher standard to sell SVT vehicles.
But the dealers won out, claiming it was unfair to independent dealers.

Unfortunately, it is still a ford. They are the same techs that do oil changes on fiestas and fusions all day long. Aside from maybe the ford gt, I cant see any dealership providing you the velvet rope and white glove service you're expecting.

No, a lube tech is not going to be removing dash boards. This is just a lazy tech and bad dealership. This is not an acceptable condition for any car, much less a Raptor.

Not sure if this dealer sends survey emails after service jobs but, regardless, I'd let the head of service, not the tech, know you're about to post a very negative online review of their service dept. unless they make everything right. If he/she doesn't react to that they shouldn't be in business.

I think I am going to call the service manager in the morning. The service tech didn’t seem very attentive and he kept telling me the guy working on my dash was the very best they had. I’m calling BS on that.
