You aren't saying anything different than what I'm saying. Perhaps you didn't follow what I meant by 'pile up behind grandma in the right lane', That means I can't switch lanes without dropping my speed to go behind someone going slower than me.

I agree.....my beef is more with the ones who stay left even when there is nobody in the right lane ahead of them. if you are doing 80 and I want to pass you...move right......you can move left again when I pass.

I should not have to pass anyone on the right. People mistake the left lane as the "fast" lane...meaning, I am going faster then the posted limit, there fore I can camp here all day long.

It is a "passing lane"....you should not be there unless you are actively passing someone.

Even when I am bombing along at 95, I am in the right lane as much as possible.

Every state also has speed limit signs. Hard to make a legal argument that you're breaking the law for going 55 in the fast lane when the speed limit is 55. It's not like anyone can legally pass you.
That is true and there is also a sign that says keep right except to pass but yet there is still someone going slow in the passing lane next to someone going slow in the right lane. If you want to drive 73 in a 70 you shouldn’t be stuck behind someone going slow in the passing lane. I talked to 3 state troopers in 3 separate states and they all said the same thing “ doesn’t matter the speed move over”.

Although I know better..because literally nothing good can come from my comment..I'm going to anyway.

Just stop and consider for a moment the sheer and unbridled entitlement in this thread.

1) I am entitled to engage in reckless speeding because I want to get home. You should heed my entitlement and make my endeavor to speed as easy as possible. Because safety. And technically the left lane is a passing lane because the sign right behind the speed limit sign says so.

2) I am doing EXACTLY the speed limit and therefore am entitled to stay right here and impede those behind me. Whatever reason they have for going even a single MPH over the speed limit is irrelevant. I shall not move. Because safety. And rules.

My approach is this - if I can safely get outta your way I will. Because why not? Maybe your child is choking. Maybe you're on the way to the hospital to see your dying Father. Maybe the Broncos game is about to start. I can't possibly know your motivation. And I'm not a ****.

I also think it's funny someone mentioned Europe. Because they would never demonstrate this sense of entitlement in the first place.

Good observations on all 4 points :)

And I totally get the irony in my OP.

Get right on my ass when I'm stuck behind someone with nowhere to go, my passive-aggresive ass will make your day so much worse. You'll be cussing for hours and probably kick the dog when you get home.

Fun fact: did you know Raptors kick up tons of rocks when you drift even partially into the emergency lane? I know a few people who found out.

So you don't want drop your pace to be behind someone going slower than you. Yet you don't mind being the slower someone (in the lead car, setting the pace) that others are trapped behind, forcing them to drop their pace...hmm
