I had a 2021 code orange and traded it in on a 2024 Yukon Ultimate. Well, after I short two weeks I hated the Yukon. I have a long list of cons and said … what the heck, traded in today for a 2024 Red 801. I was all lined up to get a SG 802 37pp. I just think they look better with 37 setup. I was looking at 7k difference out the door. After looking at trade values between both the 801 and 802, I decided to get a Red 801. The new out the door difference gave me a +4k in my pocket. I can’t tell you how much this is better than $104,000 Yukon…. Took my wife for a ride yesterday in the new truck and I said honey how do you like it?… she says this is so much better than the other car.. granite she doesn’t even like pick up trucks and part of the reason I got rid of it. ‘ cause she’s too scared to drive it. Then she proceeds to tell me…. I was trying to talk you out of trading it in however I had to let you make your own mistakes. You gotta love here for that…

Did nearly the same thing a year ago, but instead of a Yukon it was a Sierra Denali diesel... just missed the way the Raptor rode.
Took me 6 months, but I am happy again!

Did the same thing. Traded my gen 2 on an escalade. Knew it was a mistake within a month, but held it for 1.5 years until I just couldn't stand it and bought a gen 3. It happens. Congrats on rectifying your error!
Tell us/me why you didn't like the Escalade? it' something I've always considered in the back of my mind.
@The Car Stereo Company
I have no idea who you are bud or what side of the bed you woke up on to attack me like that… even if you’re trying to be funny or sarcastic this is not. I was praising @osprey6 and if they felt some kind of way by my praise they can say so.
Dude, @The Car Stereo Company is a very deranged individual. He regularly visits @Oldfart 's goat farm where he pleasures the stock for hours at a time. He's contracted syphilis more times than the average person contracts the commom cold. It's fried his brain, shriveled his c u j o n e s, and made him the lovable character he is here. He means no harm. He's an acquired taste, and according to Billy the Goat, man does he taste tasty.

after we have a car, I started looking for the new raptor … to find one I want it with the price tag. It took about total of a month. Within the first week or two, I was definitely getting rid of it. …

So here is the back story…. I really enjoyed my raptor however I had 50,000 miles. I was looking to change. I looked at the 2025 Raptors, who was not happy with all the changes things. And then I thought a great I’ll get a nice Yukon I used to have many of them throughout the years. A week after getting it, I took a road trip to Orlando 3 Hour drive, and felt like I was car sick. I figured well I must be dehydrated. Couple days later I drove back, I felt the same way again. I think I nerved it down to the speakers in the headrest. There’s a feature. I think it’s called Bowes performance plus which does maybe a more intense surround sound. Once a disable that feature that problem went away. Using super cruise., very disappointed. It is a decent system however they are very keen on making sure they do not lose sight of your eyes. The system is quick to tell you. In my opinion, the Lane keep in the raptor is better than GMC. Super cruise. GMC has a lot of camera options. However, you have to flip through them to figure out which one you want. Not very difficult but I got used to the camera system in the raptor. And I think I was a little lazy to try to push through the different cameras to find the one I want are two parallel park. I must admit I was totally scared concerned about curb rash on the rims. I am not a fan of 22 inch low profile wheels anymore. Best thing about the raptor is very difficult to scrape the wheels on at least out here in South Florida. The vehicle head ear right suspension along with magnetic ride. Nice and smooth. One day driving I was behind a Tesla Y and I could not see over the top of the car. I realized that as you go faster than your right suspension wants to go lower for air dynamics. You are able to raise it up a few inches however, once you hit 50 miles an hour it automatically goes down again. Coming from the beast of a raptor I felt I was in a Prius. I think I enjoyed being a big guy in the block….

Yes, it’s a lot of negative things I had on the wrapped however it is a beautiful vehicle. The leather seats were beautiful wood trim around the car…. Fortunately for me, I was able to get out of it and jump into something I knew I enjoyed.

Sorry for the long dissertation…..
Hey man like I said no judgement here! i was just curious and your response makes total sense. I can't tell you how many dumb vehicle purchases I made in my 20's and 30's and I think I've slowly grown out of that but I get it. Thank God like you, I have a supportive wife who also just let's me get something "out of my system" and doesn't get mad because she knows I overthink things but also makes enough money for dumb mistakes.
My crutch has always been BMW, I get allured in and always end up so upside down it's nauseating. I was previously softly shopping for a X5M and she gently guided me to trade in my 2016 F-150 for a new Raptor because a new truck is always what makes me happy compared to the newest shiny fast car. She was right and I ordered mine which will be here in a few weeks!!
