I have 2018 ford raptor without technology package...can I replace with Gorilla Glass ?? As usual , dealers are not a reliable source of information ——-

Can anyone tell me cost and part number if available ?

You can use Gorilla Glass, it’s about $300 more than OEM glass. With the tech package, I’d spend the extra for either OEM or Gorilla. My OEM windshield cracked for unknown reasons last year. With a replacement, you’re supposed to get the camera recalibrated - I believe it’s used for lane keep assist.

I don’t know a part #. I do know that you will need to ensure the shop has / orders the right part, make sure they know you’re ordering for a Raptor, not a normal F150.

Went through 5 windshields and 3 years on my 2016 Lariat. Finally installed the above. Took some mean rocks to the face and survived. Had one small pit when I finally traded for my 2020 Raptor. When I need a new one, I will go back to it.

Here’s the thing I found about Gorilla glass.
It exists in catalogs, but not in real life. IOW, it’s vaporware. I’ve had 3x replacements, the last 2 I have held up the replacement asking them to search for / find the Gorilla glass windshield. We did actually track down a supplier; none available, no ETA on when any would be made. My last one was ’22 or ’23 and I had 3 different shops try to locate in addition to searching myself.

If you have a Raptor with gorilla glass, I’d suggest putting it up on BaT because it’s probably worth a ton of money. If you find a place that says “oh yeah, we can get it” - I’d be willing to bet you get an OEM windshield. I would love someone to be able to score a gorilla glass windshield but I don’t have much hope.
