Anyone else have to replace the resistor for the blower motor? I've got no blower and both relay and fuse are good. Mine has climate control so I'm suspicious of the resistor. Blend door appears to be working - got air coming from the proper vents on the freeway just no blower.
Thanks! JD

Don't quote me, but I thought when the resistor went, the motor was stuck on one speed. Maybe your fan motor is stuck, I think it is relatively easy to pull it out and see if its stuck or not.

I replaced the resistor trying to diagnose low air flow but evap turned out to be clogged (and fan did run, just didn’t feel like it was hitting higher speeds on full blast). It’s solid state though so I’m thinking the blower motor itself is more likely the culprit in your case. Good luck!

lightly tap motor with a hammer and see if it starts . Brushes could be hanging up. I just changed mine starting to make noise when turning off. Make sure you get motorcraft or one with cooling duct to keep motor cool. Some of replacements did not have it .

New development - the damn thing is working perfectly again. Hard to troubleshoot, but no noise at all from the motor so I suspect the resister. I git one (Motorcraft) and will look more when (if) it quits again.

A couple years ago my Raptors HVAC system quit working for a week or so. I took it to the dealership to have it diagnosed and the SA said he suspected the connection where the IDS connects. No trouble found and has been trouble free ever since.

Yesterday I got a severe rumbling from the compartment which I think houses the fan. It vibrates pretty severe now. I just had the truck detailed, which is a weird coincidence. Stops when I turn the all of the Climate off. Sound like the fan has died to anyone here?

Yes it does, sounds like the bearings are toast...
