Glad that you're safe Birdy! Yeah, a good storm now and then is good for everyone. I do hope that you get power back soon and you don't lose the fridge or anything.

Cant believe he pulled that one off... HaHa.

Looked like southern VT took a bit of water on but up here (north central) Irene pretty much wussed out. We'll have this kind of wind and water come this Janurary. Only it'll be 20 below at the same time.

The ice cream melted hours ago
That's because you had it in the refrigerator, dork-face.
Not too much damage here. It's funny watching these weathermen after being on the air for 2 days straight. I watched one guy mistakenly say "***** surge", what was he thinking? It reminded me about the time when Pete Bouchard told everyone what a big guy he was. lol! For those of you that didn't see this, enjoy: :ROFLJest:
9 inches of snow? that's not the only thing! - YouTube

So yea, the hurricane was pretty weak from what I hear. Unfortunately, there actually was damage to the front of the truck from that piece of metal. It slapped the top and flopped around for a minute, scraped up the front end, and then fell over. Gonna be about $300 in damage. $h!t happens I suppose. The lady friend says it'll be fixed b4 I get home, tho.

I thought the whole thing was over exaggerated, then...

We had a dam give out way up in the mountains and sent a flood surge down a local river, this was the result. First one is the log jam on a main road bridge. the rest is a property I own on further down that river, 3" of mud in the driveway and 3 feet of water in the basement, luckily it was unfinished. We had a pump in the basement but when the power went out it was useless. This was out 2nd "100 year flood" this year. Im going to install a standby generator next week.
