You have to connect the upfitter wire to the pass through wire (both found behind glovebox). The pass through wire then is found under the hood.

So I can say that I want AUX #1 to have AMP wire 15A or doesnt it work that way haha..

I just want to fully understand this, I am a bit **** about this kind of shit lol

Correct me if I'm wrong but the pass thru wires are all the same size the size difference is on the wires coming from the switch.

To make it simple.

All I have to do is connect YELLOW (AUX#1) to RED an then connect lights to RED under the hood. They only draw >10 amps combined.

Yes. Although that's not how I'd do it. You're wasting a 30amp circuit on something that only draws 10amps. You're also not protecting the components correctly by connecting to something so oversized. Fuses are your friend, not your enemy.

If it were me, I would do the math to figure out my max peak draw, and then I would add 10%. If that resulting number is 10amps or less, I would use Aux4. If its more than 10 but less than 15, I would use Aux3.

If Aux4:
Brown from behind the glovebox, to whatever color (red works) pass thru the firewall, to the lights.

If Aux3:
Purple w/ green tracer from behind the glovebox, to whatever color (red works) pass thru the firewall, to the lights.

Ok, Ok... So the pass through wires are literally just wires that pass through and anything can be connected to them... I see, haha.

LOL yup. Their colors have no significance what so ever, EXCEPT to help you remember when you're under the hood which one you connected to when you were behind the glove box.

Awesome. Thanks BigJ definitely a BIG help.

Just have to calculate the Max Peak...

Where did you ground it to?

is that bolt near the pass through okay or is it better to find something else?

Question;
When it says Upfitter Switch info-

#1 Yellow behind glove box – Red under hood – 30 amp
#2 Green with brown stripe behind glove box –Green under hood - 30 amp
#3 Purple with green stripe behind glove box –Blue under hood - 15 amp
#4 Brown (this is the thinnest of the 4 wires) behind glove box – Purple under hood - 10 amp

Yes and no. All the wires are all the same size; both the pass thru wires and the wires behind the glovebox connected to the switches are all the same gauge.

???

I'm 99% sure the wires from the switches are sized due to fuses sizes, but the bypass wires/relayed wires are all the same size due to no issue with fuses sized because its in the switches.

Personally I have used the bypass wires to get in and out of the cab the thing you really need to know is which switch you are hooking up to due to amp load and fuse size.
