How to safely carrying a gun in a gen 2 Raptor

Im in CA and was curious how other Californians legally carry their guns in their truck?

Id like to be able to secure a shotgun under the rear seat. Anybody done this?

They make rifle lockboxes for under the rear seat. That may be a good choice.

I haven't a clue what the crazy laws are in CA for vehicle transport, but you certainly want a locking box or a console vault. I have a console vault and then one of these inside it to hold my carry pistol if I ever want to leave it in the truck. I've considered an under seat one as well like above, but not sure if I want to keep a 300 pistol in my truck or not.

What? You keep a pistol in your truck, what's your point? I carry one, always. When I said 300 pistol I was referring to a 300 AAC Blackout AR pistol. I have a few, and thought about leaving one in the truck in the under seat lock box along with a few mags. Too long even with the folding stock for the console.

I thought you were talking about a 300 dollar pistol, lol. Yeah makes sense now. I might should get an AR to carry around with me as well though since they will probably be banned soon.

$300...you mean 2 Hi-Points and 4 full mags???

300 AR is cool because its the same as a 5.56 except for the barrel. You can get a 5.56 upper and a 300 upper and just swap them out. Same mags, same bolt carrier etc.
