I was wondering if anyone knew what parts I can put in the raptor to help out with fuel economy.

The responses here boil down to this: It's the wrong question for a 6,000 pound high-performance off-road truck with a honking big V8. That question better fits a Ford Escape. Or we could monkey with the question itself by changing it to "what parts can I take off the Raptor to help out with fuel economy?" I figure a 2,500 pound reduction in weight might make a 3 to 4 mpg difference on a good day.

I've said it before here, and I'll bore the uninitiated by saying it again. Anyone who buys a Raptor with mpg sugarplumbs dancing in his head does not know his own mind. If economy is the top criterion on the list while shopping for a new vehicle, then almost the entire automobile market would be a better choice to realize that criterion than choosing a Raptor. If you want high speed performance in an off-road environment and a decent rock-crawler to boot, there is nothing else on the mass-produced market that can hold a candle to a Raptor. But it's a either-or choice. You can't have unprotected sex without risking an STD infection, you can't poke an old Marine in the chest and call him a baby killer without risking physical pain, and you can't buy a 6,000 pound off-road truck without sacrificing fuel economy.

I hate fuel economy threads.

Exactly! These threads are like Raptor vs (insert random "sportcar") threads/videos... POINTLESS for the Raptor..

I get over 20mpg average (18mpg to 23mpg) on my Raptor cursing on the highway. The variation is from the road terrain. But we have no Ethanol content in our fuel in my country. This is doing between 60mph and 50mph.

Calculation done by using the Raptor fuel economy data as well as the Edge Products Evolution CTS

Those numbers sound pretty dam good not sure if anyone is going to believe them though:Insane:
What Country are you in that has such great gas. Is your Raptor a 6.2
Your other post says you only have 1K on the odometer so that means your gas mileage should get better with break in?

I bet that any Raptor can get upwards of 20 mpg on the downhill run on I-17 from Flagstaff (6900 feet in elevation) to Phoenix (1100 feet), but the reverse trip will probably put our trucks into the single figure mpg range.

And so what? Who bought their Raptor because they wanted good fuel economy? Come on, raise your hands! What? Nobody? How embarassing.

Here are my suggestions for SLIGHT mpg improvement:

-install bed cover
-keep tires properly inflated
-drive with a light foot
-run non-ethanol gas

The non-ethanol gas makes a difference in my experience. We drove my wife's Honda from Louisiana to Florida running non-ethanol and got 23.5 mpg. On the way back, we ran E10 and got 19.8 mpg.

Send some of that good juice over here! Everything is at least 10% around here...

Look for it at marinas or near water where boats fill up. Also, there is an app that locates ethanol free stations relative to your location and a website also. Google it.

Trust me I've tried. None close enough to make it worth it. Oh well, I'll stick to chevron with techron.
