Exactly! ^^^ longevity of brake rotors and pads has a LOT to do with the driver habits. The advantage of upgrading to something better is in those high speed offroad and emergency stopping situations on road. The brake fade that is seen when stock parts get hot is the number one improvement. The upgraded parts will all but eliminate brake fade. But, the upgraded parts will also decrease stopping distances and improve the longevity of the parts.
For example, somebody who's driving habits allows the stock rotors and pads to last 40K miles, would probably see the upgraded parts last for YEARS. I mean, I installed the same exact package I recommend for the Raptors on my 2003 3/4 ton Duramax pickup in January of 2009, I used that truck for hauling extremely large loads of farm goods. Before installing the R1 products I was replacing the stock rotors and pads every single year. But, that truck is sitting in the driveway and STILL has that same brake package on it with no cracking or warping of the rotors and with at LEAST 50% of the pad still there. If I can get five years and about 30K miles out of the brakes on that truck, with the way I have used it, I am 100% confident that the R1 premium package will be all that my Raptor customers could want.
