Considering an ESP, but wanted to get a straw poll about how many people have ended up using it on their gen 2?

I don't have a sunroof so buying the ESP to fix a broken / thrown track isn't a factor.

Having a '19, I considered that the ESP would be good for the live valve electronics as a start. But how often has the VDM / solenoids had to be replaced outside of the initial 3/36k mark? Same for the heated / cooled seats. How many have needed to have them worked on?

Biggest advantage I could see is if you're off-roading as intended for the truck use, the ESP would most likely cover ball joints / tie rod ends / bushings that are going to fail sooner due to more wear and tear.

Appreciate feedback on this one.

I don't care if you want to argue / state how much of an "insurance policy" it is on the truck or how "if you already spent XXXX, what's little more on the ESP?". Simply looking for input on how many have actually had to use the ESP for something gone wrong.

Not really an answer to your question, but just a heads up, something I came across in here a while ago is that if you are getting it, add the light and key fob coverage. A front headlight is $1,100 from Tasca, list is $1,600! I just bought an ESP last week and added the key and light coverage because of that.

Understood and I know that part of the ESP as an option. On that note however, who has had a headlight or tail light replaced under the ESP due to one going out? If both are "lifetime" components, I'm guessing the lifetime is past the 125k mark.

I have a 2018 with 37k miles on it. Alternator died at 36500. I probably could gave gotten it replaced under 3/36 but I feel like I’m well on my way to coming out ahead on purchasing an ESP

How much to replace a key fob? The light coverage is a $0 option based on the choices I was considering.

My sunroof made a loud pop when I tried to vent it about a week ago. I took my 2018 in to the dealer yesterday. They gave me a loaner and had it fixed today. No charge. I'm 4 months out of my 3/36 Bumper to bumper so it was handled on the ESP.

I bought the 10 day rental with my warranty. Pleasantly surprised when I took it in, the plan upgrades the daily rental rate to $70/day. Service writer said I could have anything I wanted, opted for an F150. Had it for a week and a half or something, been a couple years. Gotta have a truck for work, so that basically reimbursed me for half of what I paid for the extended warranty.

I took it in for some minor stuff, they just didn't have time to get to it, so it sat.

This isn’t an answer to your direct question.

I currently have a year left on the standard 3 year but will be purchasing an ESP. My 19 has had two warranty repairs. A leaking shock was replaced and a connector pin repaired under the dash.

I just purchased a 6 year 75,000 for our 2018 escape. I also had one on my 2015 mustang and it is incredibly easy to get the pro rated remainder refunded if you sell.
