You could also look at it like this, there will be a limited supply of Raptors produced as MY2021. Down the road say like 10-20yrs we could see the 2021 Raptor as a rare species that was super hard to get during the Great Covid Pandemic, causing prices to sky rocket because of the demand for these very rare trucks. Just another perspective to consider and it's not out of the realm of possibilities, stranger things have happened.

It’s not going to do anything to price unless they make something like the blue interior, Code Orange paint etc a 1 year option. Since the ‘22 and possibly the ‘23 will most likely be exactly the same this is just a pipe dream. I also understand it’s just my opinion but unless there is something unique to the ‘21 it’s doing nothing to the value except be a 1 year older truck that was produced August-November in ‘21.

A model year within a generation can absolutely become a highly sought after vehicle and command a much higher price than the rest of the model years within that specific generation. Time will tell, let's revisit this topic in 10yrs.

It only does that when there are specific options or styling features to that specific year. If Ford doesn’t change anything for MY22 then MY21 will just be worth less 10 years from now. Thy being said if certain colors are only offered in MY21 or that oh so controversial blue interior, then yes I agree with you then those vehicles will be worth more.

I'm not talking about the standard Gen3 Raptor here but thanks for your input. I'm talking about a fully loaded Gen3 Raptor on 37s. No doubt the R will be a highly sought after vehicle, that's pretty obvious.

All things being equal (color, options, miles, etc) why would anyone want to buy a 1 year older vehicle 10 years from now and pay more money?

Ah man, that movie will never get old. I still laugh at the two pairs of gloves Lloyd was wearing around the fire
