It only does that when there are specific options or styling features to that specific year. If Ford doesn’t change anything for MY22 then MY21 will just be worth less 10 years from now. Thy being said if certain colors are only offered in MY21 or that oh so controversial blue interior, then yes I agree with you then those vehicles will be worth more.
I hear what you're saying but neither of us knows what will actually happen 10-15yrs from now.

Strange conversation. I doubt there are many people out there buying 21' Raptors because they think it will have a higher value than 22's, 10 years from now. Sure, anything is possible, but there's no indication that Ford is going to make the '21 unique, beyond limited quantities. At the same time, I don't think there's going to much price drop between a '21 and '22 when it comes to sell. Although age does matter for sure, the miles on a vehicle is a big factor than age. A '21 with 20k miles will be worth more than a '22 with 50 k, in 2024...all else being equal.

As far as used prices go, didn't see anyone mention inflation. A dollar just isn't worth as much as it used to be. Others did mention that it doesn't do much good to sell your home at an inflated value if you have to turn around and buy another inflated value home (ignoring differences in location an actual quality of the home).

Despite the fact I'm not getting a Gen 3 just yet, there are several good reasons to.
- Going through this ordering process during a tough time could resulting in appreciating the vehicle more.
- Getting the vehicle sooner means you drive it when it's not a common vehicle on the road yet.
- Get to enjoy it sooner.
- Because of inflation, it's entirely possible that Ford may raise the MSRP for 2022 or years after.

Right on man, I concur.
The one thing that I do know is that I’m going to be jealous of your LeadFoot 37 because I can almost guarantee you will get yours before me and yours will be a ‘21 and mine will just be a ‘22. However Ford could surprise me and give my dealer an extra allocation. Ha ha

A Raptor is a Raptor, they're all sick trucks no matter what year they are! Sounds like you're speaking it into existence so it must happen now. LOL

I hope that’s the case. You’ll know when I get mine. I’ll definitely post pics but there will be so many other who get there’s before me. So mine will be old news by then.

I think we're both in the same boat. Many Raptors have been built or are in production while my tracker still says "Order confirmed 6/14/2021". There will be a big yawn heard around the world when I get mine because everyone will have had theirs already for a few weeks. That big First Drive event in the desert was the big hold up and I bet the cause of all the delays. I might as well just get a 2022 FML. LOL
