just drive down most of the roads around here, and you'll hit a pot hole that's going to do the same thing.

I've already got scratches on my skid plate from some very moderate offroading. Does this mean I should replace it in case I bend my frame and the dealer takes a look under the truck?
hes ford said anything regarding this topic hinted at a fix or an investigation or anything to let us know they are aware and looking into this before it gets out of control.
i did my damage months ago and have thought that it was just a bed alignment issue. Now i know it's not. so I don't know what I'm going to do. I just know it's going to do me no good to take it to the dealer.
If they tell me that it needs to be fixed, then it should be interesting since the frame can't be "straightened" due to liability issues from an accident, so that means a frame replacement, which my insurance company is going to total the vehicle. which might be the best thing, since that would mean a new Raptor in silver!
OH GOOD GOD, are you kidding me? the location of the bump-stop is ridiculous on this truck. to me it's more of a safety concern over anything else. I can't believe anyone would put anything that is "designed" to take an impact of any means in the middle of a crumple zone. that's just retarded in my opinion. and screw the warranty it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I can just imagine this nice family riding down the road with their camper on the hitch and then they hit a bump in the road which bends the frame and then on their way back through colorado the frame then twist because it's been damaged already and it has a catastrophic failure. Family goes off the cliff and die's. Now THAT is not a driver problem that's a ford new about a problem and didn't fix it or let anyone know problem. Result = Millions paid out to grieving family, and a recall.
Ummm, no, I'm not kidding.....You need to re-read my post, I did not say the bump stop location, I was speaking of the crumple zone.......and even said that YES, the bumpstop design could be better. And while you're playing out catastrophic failures due to the evil, family hating designs from Ford, consider the weight ratings of the Raptor, towing and payload.......did this family exceed the ratings? If so, then I'm sorry, it's NOT Ford's fault. If they are within specs, then.......wait for it........DRIVING STYLE needs to be in accordance with the situation!!!!!!!!!
which might be the best thing, since that would mean a new Raptor in silver!
It's not your fault, it's not my fault.
