Guys, and gals I feel your passion, ford tech one I know PDC, I know what they do there, been there more then a few times, all I am saying is what I was told, you all can believe what you want for what ever reason you want, but if you want one or thinking of getting a newer one, move fast, cancel, Hiatus or 2 to 3 years off say it how you want all I know is there is no 2021 and who knows when, if ever, it comes back, remember ford is moving toward electric, my god they are going to have a hybrid F-150. I love the dedication guys hope I am wrong but my friend has never been wrong yet........hope he is this time

F150 Raptor being cancelled (what you said in your OP) and not being around for 2021 (what you’re saying here)are two VASTLY different statements. People around here have been speculating for many months that there might not be a 2021 or even a 2022.

thats why I said I was told "Canceled". how someone interprets that as you probably have read in this thread has differing opinions, some think hiatus, some think skip a year or two some think no way, all I said is what i was told, I haven't even thought alot about it because i have mine and i'm happy, whole reason i posted was for those on the fence about getting one or getting a newer one

2 year hiatus for sure. I'd be willing to bet that the new Hybrid F150 is going to be the test bed for making the new 3rd gen Raptor a hybrid. We won't like it, but it does make sense for how the vehicle industry is going in general. Hell, a pretty good sized chunk of the super car market is hybrid now and most if not all vehicle manufactures are working on either a full electric or hybrid power trains.

Ford has stated that there would be a 2021 Raptor, so I'm not sure that anyone can be that confident that there'll be a 2 year hiatus. I do think you're correct regarding a hybrid Raptor though. It would be odd for that to be available on F150s and not on the Raptor. I don't know if it would turn too many away though, and not sure Ford would make at an option only.

So all you know is 'canceled' and can't provide any information besides that. Could it be that Ford was planning on a 2021 Raptor but has canceled their plans in order to focus on Bronco and F150 for a year or so?

was the Focus RS cancelled after promising another new model which they screwed up, when they launched it here anyway. Ford will screw it up eventually, just have to watch them do it.

I would imagine this is pretty accurate if you can't be the king any longer on the truck front then throw in the towel. The TRX is legit, guessing Ford will need to rethink things a little before coming back to market.

Really, who cares if they cancel it or not. I have one, basically everyone on this forum has one, so what's the big deal. They have so many pre orders for Broncos, that they probably are going to have to cut production on some models. Don't think they anticipated the response.
As far as a V8 Raptor making a comeback........I don't know. They could've easily put the GT500 engine in it or even a supercharged Coyote, but they didn't.The Raptor is all about torque, and the 3.5 produces a ton. Ford has so much time and effort invested in the EcoBoost, that it's their engine for now and the future. Except that friggin ugly Mustang Mach E. This is coming from a GT350 owner.
