If I have whole fam in truck & running around normal in bad snow/winter on road I’d put it in either normal & 4A or 4H if there’s snow everywhere vs jumping around from partially plowed to packed snow & back again - if it’s absolutely dumping & a lot of other people on road or I’m on a winding unplowed back road may put it in weather/slippery
Realistically though when driving solo or especially if doing some romping around in DEEP snow on street or on fields I put it in sport mode, 4A & TC off (to me this gives much better throttle response & predictability) if very heavy snow or deeper terrain I’ll throw it in 4H & lock diff as well as take VSC off
Sometimes I alternate between Normal & sport but in the same configuration- 4A & TC off
now- having said all that, I’m running studdable Nokian snow tires......so kinda take that all w/ a grain of salt lol, like my wife asked me while I was driving out in the middle of the storm last night - “are the roads bad?” My response- “well I dunno, I guess so, I can’t really tell w/ this thing anymore”
snow tires are the shit
