@Oldfart looks like you had a blast. Winter hooning is amazing in ****** snow. Did you lower tire pressure?

I try to bring a stick with me to knock the built up snow out of the barrels.

No, I actually didn't even think about it. I was running my normal 38/34. I ended up using a broom handle to poke around and knock some of the snow off before it went back in the garage. The skid plate grabs a HUGE amount of snow!

I turned it off when I tried Baja mode, I'm not sure if it stayed off when I went into Snow Mode. I'll have to try that tomorrow. The truck had no problem letting me really throw it sideways with no ******** cutting in.
We got around 3 feet here and having a blast. I have found mud sand mode the best in the deep slush. It really lets you kick out the rear end, has better throttle response and the ABS is changed to stop in the slick stuff way better than any other mode IMHO. Tell me what you think of that mode.

On my 2018 Mud/Sand mode works well for snow hooning. I love the dialed back ABS function for snow. ABS is the WORST in snow and kills stopping. Rear diff lock makes a big difference being able to kick the back end around with a stab of the throttle. Unfortunately my KO2s are back down (second set) to 6/32 after just 15k miles so right now I'm having a little less snow fun.

We are getting pounded pretty good, still snowing hard with over 20" so far. Lots more snow coming. The local K-Mart closed some months back, so there is a huge empty parking lot except for one tractor trailer. I made a nice track in their parking lot. It was untouched when I got there. I learned a lot about throwing the truck around. Got to play with the different modes. Definitely the most fun I ever had in a truck.

What a blast to be able to just drive like an animal for a while. Deep Snow mode with the diff locked seemed to work really well. Baja mode in 2 wheel drive struggled to get speed on the straights. Deep Snow with locked rear gave me good speed and you could still easily pitch it sideways in the corners. The snow is kind of in the middle of heavy/wet and light/fluffy.

I was surprised that when you throw it sideways a shit ton of snow comes across the windshield and hood. It's easy to get blinded off and on. The only downside is how much snow is now packed in/under the truck! I've had to go out to the garage twice now to push out the snow and water coming off the truck. A lot more snow coming, hopefully nobody complains to the cops on me. I'd like to do this again tomorrow. My buddy is the police chief, but I don't want to put him in a bad position.

Yesterday, cleared the drive, went to the store. Snow turned to sleet ice. Got home backed in. Heard the alarm, looked out the truck slid down the drive. Was in park and break was on. I guess the warm tires melted sleet and it froze up, I'm on a good hill. Truck stopped in street, all good. Still trying to unpuckered.
Got in it went to swim club closed for winter. T.c. off, locker on mud snow and had a blast....another old guy acting his age...
