Having raised two boys myself, I have always only bought them Ford playtoys and now that they are adults, they know that they can buy whatever vehicle that they want to, but 100% they know if they buy a chevy, they are parking on the street and not in my driveway. YES, influence them!!!

Well you definitely error on the new electric side. Me being the wait for 3 gen V8 SC would make sure my kid had the Razor Gas version as a step up and a mini gas quad... splitting hairs but all in good fun.

best investment ever for ex-GF boy was the CJ Jeep version in late 90s. It was a total hit and happened to be battery when it didn’t matter ;-)~~~

I think you hit on an important point here. It's good to influence them and let them know who you are what you like, not just about discipline and right and wrong. At the same time, you want them to understand that they don't need be a carbon copy of you in order to gain your approval. The goal of influencing them to is to show that they can be their own individual.

It all depends on how the yout receives the influencing... Your kid will either be a Ford Raptor Guy or a Tesla "Do you have a charging station" Guy. A fireman or a cop. A Navy SEAL or a Green Beret. Likes guns and ammo or hugs trees. A Master of One or a Jack of All Trades. An International Man of Mystery or a Tik Tok Sensation. Gin & Tonic or Umbrella Drink. Big picture is that the world needs good people. I think Ford Raptors Owners are good people. My son is a teenager and as much as I don't want him to follow my footsteps, he is and is crushing life so far. Yeah, I'm a proud dad and I'll be happy to get him his first Raptor. He's learning how to drive mine this blue one... He's good people.

Hey everyone. I have a 7 yo son, am I doing the right thing for him now? Or is this going to blow up in my face when he’s older? ;)

View attachment 157501

My 13yr old grandson has already driven (grandpa riding shotgun) The Beast the 3 country road miles from my mailbox to the "Casa de Grande"
His previous driving being RC cars and a kid sized ATV.
Cost? Maybe a buck.
"His irreversible grin wider than the Raptor impossible to erase for several hours?"
Priceless
:)

Hes already being swayed...(properly influenced)
