SO, I am finishing up the winch mount. Wow effinjg 1/4in stainless is a bitch to bend with a makeshift bender and meself but, I did it and its bent and ready for some finished grinding... Cut and drilled mount holes should have it done in a few days... Its just going to be a rear hitch mount for now. I might do something else later who knows...

Winch is 90% complete deciding if I should weld in a small support gusset on the front roller. Its 1/4 stainless so its strong but a little support never hurt... Its just the welder, I found it and fixed the burnt wires inside and its not the greatest but it works for me right now...
So, the handles are form this ****** cart at the local hardware store for moving things it was $28 and all I needed was the handles. $28 later and what do ya know they work great...LOL only thing is the handles are not stainless but they look ok...

Here is where im looking at welding a support gusset in.

Nice build. Glad to have another winch on the Snoball500. As of right now, there is enough for each group to have at least one winch.

It is hard to tell from the photos, did you weld the gusset on the horizontal piece too?

I'm sure with the new tube bender, you got something up your sleeve for housing this bad boy in the bed of the truck... can't wait to see it. ;)

Ya, Its a bit close to the bolts so I just did inside... I also will make this portable so if someone is stuck way up front or in back and we cant get the truck to them we can throw the winch on another truck and use the cables I have for power...

Installing wires for winch and decided to make the harness psoition change that BigJ profiled on his build page. Easy move just need to remove the air/coolant overflow box, unplug the connectors, remove the holding trees from the holes and reroute...
