Lurking achievement unlocked ! LOL

The classic "head on left turn" M/C Vs 4-wheeler crash probably? What kinda bike were you on btw?
I had a Ducati Streetfighter 848. I loved that bike. and yes, he turned literally as I entered the intersection so I had no time to react.

I’m sorry to hear about the collision and ensuing recovery, but glad about the recovery.

historically, I've never been much of a truck guy even though I grew up around them. but when the Raptor first came out, something about it really grabbed my attention; quite simply - I wanted one. at that time, it was more a dream than an attainable goal. fast forward to two years ago...

I was riding my motorcycle to work on what was the last nice day of fall, and a car turned in front of me while I was going 55 right as I entered the intersection. I flew 120 feet through the air, landing face down. I broke both legs, both arms, pelvis, and also sustained internal damage...and I lost four inches of my femur. 23 surgeries later, and some amazing doctors, I've been put back together and seem to be somewhat functional ;) honestly, it's a miracle I am still alive. anyway, when I was lying in the hospital, totally immobilized and in the worst pain I ever experienced, I decided that I wouldn't ride motorcycle again, and I set a goal to buy a Raptor. just over two years from that accident, I fulfilled that goal (after completing some other goals - like learning to feed myself, walk again, take a shower...)

I was inspired on this forum by member GilzWetTrain's shelter green Raptor with xpel stealth film. I have some other upgrades in mind, but I'll need a little recovery time first. thanks for reading.

Wild story. This is the type of stuff that I think about every time I go out riding. Sucks. Good looking ride!
