yesterday I was driving my awesome raptor down the street in 50-60 mile an hour winds. Yes my truck was getting pushed around like crazy and I had to slow down a bit in these winds and rain. while driving, there was a semi about 100 - 200 feet in front of me and the wind gusts were so damn hard and steady that the truck tipped over. after the truck came to a stop the engine started on fire, as i drove by there were like 10-15 people standing around trying to help the driver so i didn't actually stop. I kind of feel bad about not stopping. I hope that the driver is ok and wish i had my video camera to film the high winds while i was driving to put up on this site. Sorry Guys, just wanted to share this story with ya.

I have had a close call like that and did not stop either. Something about todays people that is lost in the good deed of stopping. Hate to say it, but its true.... I tend to mind my own business these days for fear of coming across the wrong situation. Shame.

Well with that, you never know what a person you are trying to help will do if you injured them while helping them out. I am not sure if laws have changed recently, but I have heard about a few stories where a person saves someones life, then get sued for broking their arm doing it. :(

50-60mph winds, sounds like home to me. We see a couple of blown over tractor trailers but no explosions. As for pulling over to help people, I've changed my share of flat tires. I don't mind helping when I can even if it's calling for help. One time I was headed to work and saw some lady pulled over on the side of the road with what appeared to be her husband laying in the grass out cold. We tried CPR but nothing. We called 911 but I don't think it mattered.

There is the "Good Samaritan" law that is kind of on the side of people who try and help others. I've stopped a few times, not recently, but one instance sticks in my mind; a soldier was t-***** by another vehicle, I didn't know whether to move her or leave her in the vehicle, she apparently had a punctured lung but in the end I watched her take her last breathe and when the paramedics arrived the white sheet was placed over her body. I was stuck in that position, "what do I do?" Do I move her and risk her life or do I leave her there and risk her life...in the end she made the choice. This is definitely not my fondest memory or an accident.

Perfect example, thanks for sharing.
