I had recently found a lot of negative press on hennessey. If I were you, I would look into these stories before spending money there. I was really surprised at the things that popped up.

Exactly. Some people have had good experiences with them (Chris, Scotty) but MANY haven't. That's a chance I'm not willing to take.

Seriously go with 5 Star. The have lids for their intakes, great products, and many stories on here about how great Mike is to work with and how he stands behind his product.

This has been hashed out many times so I will simply say this: I went with 5 Star. If you want my full opinion, use the search and find the previous threads on this very subject.

This is Chris, and I agree with everything said here. I have had great success with Hennessey, but there is no doubt that they are considerably more expensive than 5 star. My reason for using them was very different though. I have the VelociRaptor 600 package which is then registered as a Hennessey vehicle.

If you are just going with a tune and air, I would say save the money for sure.

mmmm but i think hennesy more popular than 5 star ,, am really thinking in placing order for this but i need a good review

popularity dosnt mean anything dont be blinded....you should get whats the best bang for your buck with quality customer service regardless who it is....an like someones said already open top with offroad vehicle your going to have big problems when you inhale half the desert/dirt/water....but if thats the popular thing to do now an days :waytogo:

I bought the combo -- picked it up and put it on for the trip home to dfw. The tune had issues that we could not get fixed (surge in reverse) and went to the 5 Star tune and it is Awesone. Plus if it matters the 5 Star removes the limiter while the boys from Houston's will not. The 5 Star also makes a tweek to the tranny which the other does not.

I used the Hennessy tune, and I had 0 problems. No odd surging / etc. Liked it so much that they actually have my truck right now for some other upgrades.

Over on the "Z" I challenged Hennessey to substantiate their rediculous horsepower claims with dyno sheets. They couldn't do it, and I was banned for life from the site for trying.

I wouldn't do business with Hennessey if they had the last gallon of gasoline on earth.
