You can go to the dealer and look at many Ford vehicles in Ingot Silver, it's not unique to Raptor. I have a 2012 ingot silver scab and I think its the best looking silver around. I saw the avalanche crew cab at the Chicago auto show, and I think it looks kinda bland. There's no metallic or pearl in it. I think it'll be great for a dude that is going to have a dirty truck all the time. I like the terrain color, and avalanche is kinda the same concept. My truck is usually clean and shiny, and I think the silver looks a lot better and has more character.

i usually buy silver/ grey vehicles. Ordered aa avalanche screw. Drove to the Texas state fair and looked at a silver scab that was inside and a avalanche that was outside. the avalanche is hard to explain. looks different in person. I have seen several photos that I like and some I did not. A few photos almost had a powder blue tint to it. In person under sunlight it looks great. Almost thought about ordering a white on...then a silver. Glad I went avalanche.

if you get a free moment and nothing to do... will you link the avalanche grey raptor you think best represents the color in real life? here, i'll been link the search for you

Man it's hard to find a pic that shows it. One thing I've noticed is how it looks white until you see something white beside it. If you can find that video of all them sitting on the lot. Pause it when the white and AG are next to each other. I really like the silver and the white ones so AG is in between. (My kids think it looks like the millinium falcon). Also watch some vids on a GT in that color. Good luck

I think the avalanche looks good. I think the Silver is going to POP against all of the black accents this truck will have. Yes Ingot Silver is a common ford color, however I do think that with everything blacked out will make the silver stand out that much more.

Side note. Had to was my white work vehicle after a week as I was getting the dirt runs. My son's silver Honda looks great and he washed it 03 weeks ago. Just Sayin..............

Silver metallic is by far the easiest color to maintain...as it doesn't show dirt and also doesn't show swirl marks. In general, metallic paints are far easier to maintain and keep looking good. My current truck is a flat black and while it looks great when buffed out and clean, it's soo much more hassle than it's worth. I really wanted to go silver on this raptor for ease of use and less sun-heat, but the ingot is just a hair too light for my taste. I think any way you slice it, these trucks look good. I don't think I've seen a single pic I didn't like, aside from the orange interior accents. I think just about everyone is going to be happy with their choice.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Avalanche. It likes like dirty white or a glossy gray primer. I get these is some attraction of having a color that isn't available on the standard F150, but it just doesn't do anything for me. Add to the fact Silver looks incredible when polished out and the Avalanche just looks like wet concrete, Silver is a better choice.
