So, I did an early oil change today and I noticed cherry red fluid where the transmission connects to the driveshaft. I though it was grease at first, but I touched it and it was definitely fluid. Not enough to drip or be seen without being underneath the truck. Is this normal or is this a sign that my truck is affected by what's described in the recent TSB? Didn't see any signs of fluid anywhere else.
Since the Raptor is a 4x4 the transmission does not directly connect to either front or rear drive shaft, the Transfer case does. The TSB that JD posted up is for the transmission pump which is located towards the front of the transmission; opposite side of the Transfer case/Driveshafts.
Vash, is it the rear drive shaft that had the leak? If so, at any time did your truck get a new drive shaft or greased slip yoke? If so then the fluid you see is probably residual, left over from when shaft was removed & replaced. If it hasn't been out and it has a leak, then your Transfer case output shaft seal is probably faulty.
