Help please-Turbos just quit

It’s about half way on the stick between low and full. I was surprised by how burnt looking the stick is. I always have had my oil changed at the dealership. Btw, the manual I think said to change every 10,000 miles? Is that right?

Manual says 10,000. Folks who have had their oil tested say 6,000-7,000. With that many miles I wouldn't go farther than 5,000. Maybe less. Depends on how long you plan to keep her.

Regarding that oil level, I think it is here, and why in the hell does a manufacturer say 10,000 when they know that's wrong? Stupid stupid story, I had been bringing my truck in for oil changes at 10k, and the dealership said that would void my warranty. I asked them why does the manual say 10,000, I've just been doing what they say to do? They just gave blank looks on their faces. WTF is that all about? Why would Ford do that? Yes I remember when we all changed our oil at 3,000 miles. WTF? STUPID. I hate stupid. I assume they mean what they say, and technology had changed. Fairly sure that's what the change oil light is based on.

re-read the manual. the 10,000 mile intervals are for ideal conditions; practically no idling, no sitting in stop and go traffic, no short trips, just hop in, drive long distances on interstates and park.

+1 @GordoJay oil tests show about 5-7k is probably ok, I do mine between 5-6k.

What codes did you clear?

Rumor has it that the long interval is EPA driven. Somehow saving six quarts every 10,000 miles will make a difference. Sad that it's believable.

Now as Joe Biden would say, Comeon man, although he would not remember it. That makes perfect sense, just like the EV mandate, all BS. Just like it is called an ecoboost. Eco what? Whatever they say use the Bongino rule. But if the actual company making the product says so, yes, I trust(ed) what they say (said) up to now. As for dealerships, nope, some are liars selling a product.

This code from post 7, PO600, says it is rare? I need to check but I don't think even over three although I have been driving from Clemson to Burnsville three times a week to clear a mudslide that hit our cabin hard at Mountain Air in Burnsville, NC.

Just drove a short trip to our gym, no issues again yet, except I decided to use the sun roof that I have not used but maybe 3 or 4 times. It sounded like it jammed lol.

I think it's time to move to the diesel. What diesel, manufacturer would you recommend. Yes I know I am on a Ford forum, but I know your guys are objective. I've heard that Dodge has a problem with their transmissions. If I were smart, I'd go old school, pre DEF. One of the reasons I did not go over 75 hp and purchased the TL6. No DEF required.

10k isn't a death sentence. It will almost certainly make it to the end of the warranty period before it fails. If you plan to keep your truck running for a long time, 5k. Trade it in every 3 years? 10k. Then there's that oil life indicator that at least partly accounts for driving conditions. You could change the oil when the little light comes on. It's actually not a bad strategy. Go figure.

That's actually what I've been doing, it comes on around 10k. No more tho..

Hey I have a question since we are now talking about oil. I noted a few threads on this site about it, and it seems some recommend a synthetic. I have always used synthetic on the vehicles, but I thought someone told me that the dealership does not use synthetics on the Raptor? Being just a normal consumer, I was surprised at that. I would think of using nothing but synthetic on the exotics. Why not the Raptor? Maybe I misunderstood? Amsoil is what this forum thread seems to recommend.

Totally perplexed, drove today including hard acceleration and no issues. Strangest thing. I had not idea clearing codes could do this? Clear up a problem?
