Between Mid-perch, Deavers and the Hellwig Sway bar,
I really do enjoy romping around more aggressively without tires squealing at the slightest twitch or going too far sideways like it did before the mods.
I almost forgot I used to call it a big boat. Now I just call it a flying 3 ton brick. LOL

I've been told U.C.A.s and Tie Rods will make it even more solid on the road. Next Mods on the list!

I have been watching the shock threads for quite some time now.
For me it sounds like going bigger on shocks will stiffen the suspension up too much for DD street use.
And since my Raptor is a street king and driving in a city that has probably the worse pot hole riddled streets in the country.
This is something I have to be careful with, on my decisions with suspension mods.

Also, I would have drive one to make my own real truthful opinion.

Considering the cost of upgrading shocks it would definitely be wise to test drive it before buying. I can tell you that I do not find the Icons to be too stiff. They are firm compared to the stock shocks but not overly so. One big advantage I've found is that it gets rid of the overly bouncy feeling with the stockers. I also love the adjustable height. I'm at the equivalent of top perch on the stockers.

The Geiser brother coil over springs get rid of the bounce as well. And far cheaper than shocks.

These trucks need a better leaf pack as well right from the start. The OE's are just a joke.

The size of the shocks have nothing to do with stiffness.
You can make a 1" shock as stiff as a rock, and a 4" shock as soft as a pillow.
It is all a matter of valving to control the oil flow from one side of the piston to the other.
It is just that in an offroad condition the I" shock will fade quickly do to overheating.

Understood. It's just I've seen a couple of post that people were stating they are stiffer and people commented you have to drive harder.
I know that comment was mostly a joke.
But, this why I said I would need to drive in one to make my own determination.
