Do I have to go back to the original ford dealership or any ford dealership will do? The place we bought it from is on our black list of places to never go back to again? I'm just worried about draining the battery while me and my daughter are out somewhere.

Welcome to the forum, First question, no. You can take the truck to any Ford authorized dealer to get warranty work (or non warranty work) done. Doesn't have to be the selling dealer.
