This is getting interesting. What is the “Unreal” everyone is referencing? Sorry, I’m new to this also.

Looks like after the update that option isn’t in the APIM not sure if there is a way to do it in the APIM As Built but in the options for vehicle type the closest option is F Series. Haven’t tried that but Superduty isn’t there.I’ve read that you have to change the apim setting with ForScan from F-150 to superduty to get the steering on the screen, but that may have been before the update. Pull off the trim on the passenger side floor that covers the BCM. Check slot 15 on the lower harness for a wire going into it.
Also, disconnect that orange plug going into the clock spring and see if there are metal pins inside of it or if it’s empty inside.
Just checked the harness going into the BCM slot 15 has a blue/ orange stripe wire running into it.I’ve read that you have to change the apim setting with ForScan from F-150 to superduty to get the steering on the screen, but that may have been before the update. Certainly appreciate the dedication you’re putting into this for the heated steering wheel, Sir!Alright! through some help thanks BarryT82 found the ClockSpring just has blanks. Going to order a new one and will let you all know how the install goes!
Andrews, a big thanks for spearheading the heated steering wheel retrofit endeavor! Were you able to order the needed clock spring? Did you order it from Ford or aftermarket?Alright! through some help thanks BarryT82 found the ClockSpring just has blanks. Going to order a new one and will let you all know how the install goes!
I actually get parts in today! Was planning on posing an update after the install. From digging around in the truck I know I need the clockspring since mine is blanked out behind the steering heat plug and I want the hard button on the HVAC Module not screen control. (Want to keep it Factory) I was also worried that the SCCM mounted on the back of the clockspring might be blanked out too.Andrews, a big thanks for spearheading the heated steering wheel retrofit endeavor! I actually have everything but the SCCM/clockspring. Including a new wheel with the heating element even though I didn't check to see if my wheel had a heating element.I actually get parts in today! I ordered from Ford but thinking about the SCCM I canceled and ordered a kit of OEM parts from www.boostedgreygoosedesigns.net since it was a whole kit.
I called and verified the part numbers and fit. Comes with a harness they make to install on low trim level trucks. Thinking I won’t need that since port 15 on the BCM looks pinned. Either way I’ll post pictures and updates on the install.
